Garrett Cusack graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2019, where he served as an Editor of the Journal of Business & Technology Law. He joined the firm upon graduation and passage of the New York State bar examination. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Cusack served as a Legal Extern in the Office of United States Senator Benjamin Cardin, where his work involved speech-writing, legal research, and preparation for committee meetings. Since joining the firm, he has litigated a wide array of commercial issues ranging from the enforceability of no-damage-for-delay clauses, interpretation of contractual limitations periods and statutory notice provisions relating to public works contracts, and fiduciary and contractual duties of co-owners of closely held corporate entities. He has successfully litigated dozens of complex commercial cases, recovered millions of dollars for his clients, and successfully challenged the constitutionality of a New York City’s prohibition on the use of drones for commercial cinematography. He is also fluent in Spanish.
